The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.

Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. The past year represented complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company remains determined to attract subscribers with quality releases on its key platform.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games currently accessible as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — transforming them into excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
